Things I Know

Today I know that I am grateful for the small amount of rain we had yesterday which helped to bring the temperatures down to a more livable level.

Today I know that I am grateful to K who found out everything there is to know about theme park passes for BIL and SIL for when they arrive on the coast on Saturday - it saved me having to do it !!

Today I know that one of the best decisions we made, as a family, was to immigrate to Australia.

Today I know that we will be celebrating Australia Day just as passionately as anyone born in Australia.

Today I know that it will be difficult to know what to watch on TV tonight - Federer plays Nadal (IMHO this should have been the finals) and Australia plays England in the 4th ODI (yes, it's a dead rubber but that won't stop me watching it).

Today I know that I am seriously contemplating going to the league 9's in Auckland next week seeing as we won't be moving that weekend.

As it's Friday, I'm joining in with Miss Cinders for the Things I Know linky which is always such an easy linky to join in with !!

Have a great Australia Day long weekend if you live in Australia - and have a great weekend if you don't !

What do you know today ?
Who do you think will win the
tennis tonight ?

TFTD :  Your life isn't perfect, but it does have perfect moments.

  1. I agree with you about the Federer vs Nadal match - it's a bit of a shame it's not the finals. My son is always torn between watching the cricket and the tennis, but I could just watch tennis all day! So lovely to read that you and your family are so happy in Australia. My dad is originally from NZ and is a naturalised Aussie and also celebrates enthusiastically on the 26th of Jan each year :) I really don't know who will win the tennis tonight, but I hope it's close :)

    1. I'm still a bit particular about who I watch in the tennis - I can't stand the grunters - they drive me nuts and I can only watch if I turn the sound off ! I don't really mind either winning although it would be great if RF did - so long as there is good tennis and someone wins the match rather than someone losing it by playing their less than best game.
LOL - sometimes I think we celebrate more than some born and bred Australians !!!!
Have the best long weekend !

    2. I'm having some withdrawals now that the tennis is all over, but I agree - the grunters are off-putting. Ben and I have been playing some backyard tennis using a rope tied between two tree as a net. So much fun!

We got a little bit of a spit of rain over the past couple of days, but not enough to wet the ground properly. Mind you it's horrid humid today!

I know you are going to have to remember to send me your new address! Hope the preps are going well for the move, I'm a little jealous, I love having a new space to live in :)

Have a fabulous day sweet xoxo

  5. Well it is minus 20 here - so no heat wave. We have some Lamingtons in the freezer for Australia day.

  8. I hope you had an amazing Australia Day weekend and enjoyed the slightly cooler weather. I'm hanging my head in shame as I tell you I didn't watch the tennis or cricket. I watched the Generation War miniseries on SBS instead!
