Linking up with Stacey-Lee at Get On With It Already who has taken over the linky for Friday from B.
My exercise this week consisted of personal training for 30 mins last night. I didn't want to go. We had had to cancel on Tuesday night because the trainer was working. He had suggested Wednesday night instead but I just couldn't face training - I felt lousy not doing anything and am wondering if maybe the lack of exercise is partly to blame for my low mood.
Anyway, last night I got home from work, fiddled around for a while and then we went. I really enjoyed it. I felt like I was accomplishing something. I felt like I had achieved something for the day. I know it isn't a lot given what I was doing most days, but in the scope of where I am right now, it was great.
After that we went back home and I had a client booked in for a massage. Well, by the time A got home at about 9.30, I was feeling so much better. I had spent the time between my client and A arriving home crocheting for the homeless / under privilege / less fortunate than I am, and that always makes me feel good - being able to do something for someone else.
Stacey-Lee, I hope you enjoy hosting the Team Friday linky !
Have the best Friday ever !
TFTD : Most do not understand the wonderful opportunities life gives ........until they are looking back.
So glad to read things were better for you last night!
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing weekend and don't forget to smile! ;)

Thanks Carmen - today has been great so far !
DeleteYou have a great weekend too.

Do you find it useful to have a personal trainer? I've been thinking about it... Maybe that will help with my lack of motivation for exercising...
ReplyDeleteHaving a personal trainer has definitely helped me - he is great. Pushes me when he knows I need to be pushed but understanding when I get to the point when I can't do more of a particular exercise. It helps knowing that he has planned to train us two nights a week - not so easy to get out of !!!!
DeleteHave a great weekend !

That sounds like such a great night. I would prefer to be receiving the massage though!
ReplyDeleteI must remember this linky and join in. I have been a tad feral in my mood too and I haven't run for a week as I have been a bit rough with a cough/ cold. Looking forward to a 8km run on Sunday. x
Oh no Lee - hope you feel better soon !!! I got a phone call yesterday about my orthotics so am going to get them on Tuesday - then will be hitting the road again.
DeleteGood luck for your run tomorrow - hope you have good weather - wind is dreadful here today.
Take care !

I can relate to the 'don't wanna go' feeling. I feel so much better for exercising yet have failed to do so, for such a long time now. I was attending twice weekly hour long group sessions with a pt and loved it. Life got in the way and then the excuses crept in and I haven't been back. Time to just get on with it and get back there!
ReplyDeleteYou are right Stacey-Lee - sometimes you just have to get on with it !!! I get my orthorics on Tuesday so hoping to get back running after that.
DeleteGood luck and have a great weekend !

Good on you for reaching out to others and showing us that it's a real mood-lifter. I really DID NOT want to go to my PT this week, but go I went... that's the great thing about paying for the PT, I will always go whether I want to our not.
ReplyDeleteThanks Seana. You are right - sometimes it is just knowing that I have committed my time (and his time) that makes me get out there !! The best thing is that, even if I come home sore, I am always glad that I went !
DeleteHave the best week.
